Happy Piece was created in 2020, with the help of friends, family, and volunteers, we have donated over 3,500 bracelets.
During the turbulent days of the Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles, we showed up with many bracelets. In the midst of tension and uncertainty, these small handmade pieces served as gentle reminders of peace, unity, and shared humanity. Many protesters shared that receiving a bracelet gave them a moment of hope and connection. The bracelets served as a tiny spark of light and kindness during a difficult time.
We proudly donated bracelets to the Bob Waldorf Foundation, specifically to be handed out to children at their transformative summer camps and weekend retreats. For many children from underserved families, these colorful bracelets have become cherished symbols of belonging. Kids wear them proudly as they build confidence, develop independence, and form lasting friendships. The bracelets help create joyful memories and remind every child that they are seen, valued, and worthy of happiness regardless of their family’s financial situation.
Through a brave friend traveling in Europe, we were able to send hundreds of bracelets to civilians taking shelter during the conflict with Russia. In dark and frightening moments underground, these bright pieces of joy brought smiles, comfort, and a sense of connection to the outside world. Sharing the bracelets aimed to remind those suffering that people far away were thinking of them and holding onto hope together.
After the devastating Palisades fires, we delivered bracelets to families who lost their homes and belongings. In the middle of grief and displacement, the bracelets offered small but meaningful moments of cheer and hope. Many shared that wearing them helped lift their spirits and reminded them that their community was there to support them during their recovery.
We collaborated with the Love for Los Foundation to support friends and family honoring the memory of Charlos. Our bracelets were given as small symbols of love and happiness during an incredibly painful time. They served as tangible reminders that even in sorrow, moments of beauty and community support still exist.
We created 135 custom bracelets for the students and staff at Hesby Oaks Leadership Charter School. These bracelets celebrated leadership, kindness, and community spirit within the school.
